The Best Places to Visit in Miami, Florida (a travel guide)
Remember when I went to Miami and the Keys with Ashley and Jared from Saccharide & Fabric then I never shared the photos from my trip?!
Whoops! I've been meaning to share these photos from our vacation for a while now, just I've been so preoccupied with holiday stuff that it slipped my mind until at present. Today is the day though!
Well, sort of. These are only the photos from the first half of our trip (in Miami). I'll be sharing the Keys photos next week. But today is all about Miami.
So, if you lot're hoping to have a trip to the sunshine state anytime shortly, I accept a whole bunch of suggestions and recommendations for y'all. Here's my travel guide for Miami, Florida…
The kickoff and 2d twenty-four hours we were in Miami, we walked up and down Bounding main Drive, taking pictures of all the art deco buildings and people watching, which was fun. And nosotros popped over to the embankment on the other side of the street as well. Lots of interesting characters walking those beaches. It was pretty entertaining.
We stayed at Hotel Victor the whole fourth dimension we were there, which I really liked. The location was perfect (right on Ocean Drive and straight beyond the street from the beach). Plus, the beds are SUPER comfortable and the marble bathrooms are pretty impressive.
Nosotros walked a lot on this trip. Like A LOT! So the hotel location actually came in handy, since it was relatively close to near everything nosotros wanted to check out. AND there is behemothic processed store and eating house downstairs called Sugar Factory. We ate lunch hither one solar day and we all basically lost our minds.
The carte du jour here is insane! If y'all're a sugar fiend like I am, yous'll feel right at home here (and probably never want to go out). They have giant goblet cocktails covered in candy (I like the mai tai) AND a carte du jour option that involves 24 scoops of ice cream and sparklers! Which you may retrieve from my Instagram.
Other adept food and drink spots include Yardbird // 1930s Firm // Bodega // Traymore // Cecconi'due south // and Verde. They're all very expert and the majority are actually pretty good photograph op spots too, if y'all're into that sort of matter.
Verde was one of my favorite restaurants on our trip because information technology'due south on the h2o and attached to The Perez Art Museum, which is astonishing! I would highly recommend you become to the museum and and so swallow at the restaurant. If for no other reason than to take photos of the building and the astonishing mural architecture.
Aside from eating (and drinking) forenoon, noon, and night. We also made out mode to Wynwood Walls. I know, I know. Everyone suggests Wynwood Walls as a place to cheque out if you're in Miami. Only Jeff and I had never been and Ashley and Jared were down to go, so nosotros went. In that location are tons of walls to check out. Surprisingly, most of the murals are outside of the official 'Wynwood Walls'. Simply either way, it was pretty damn absurd.
Naturally, I took a ton of photos. Probably too many to add here on this already super long post. So, I'll practice a separate mail service on Wynwood tomorrow. Check back for that.
Strangely, we didn't spend much time at the beach while in Miami. Merely we did dip our toes in the water and manage to get all sandy trying to take jumping photos in front end of this yellow and white checky shack on the embankment. So, that counts. Correct?
